Stellantis, the automotive group behind brands like Dodge, Jeep, and Ram, is ramping up production of its legendary V8 HEMI engine. The company announced it plans to manufacture over 100,000 HEMI engines in 2026 to meet an unprecedented demand from enthusiasts.

In 2025, Stellantis received around 50,000 orders for HEMI engines, but could only produce about 30,000 units, causing long wait times for customers. To solve this issue, the company is tripling production in the upcoming year.

The engines are mainly produced at the Saltillo plant in Mexico, which also builds other high-demand engines like the Hurricane I6. Stellantis is exploring ways to expand production further to keep up with growing demand.
